Hector "Gomez" Rodriguez-Guajardo

March 31, 2001 - July 22, 2011

Gomez - the little train that could...

Hector Estevan Rodriguez-Guajardo better known as Gomez to all who knew and loved him, passed away peacefully with his ever-present grandmother Teresa Lopez-Reyna at his side Friday July 22, 2011. Gomez was born, his sunrise, to mother Selenna Marie Guajardo and father Jacob Rodriguez on March 31, 2001 in Mission Viejo, California.

Throughout Gomez’ life, despite his physical challenges from Cerebral Palsy, always lived life to the fullest as his “little train that could” attitude would bring him through the most difficult times. His smile and laugh would fill the room whenever his loving family was present.

So many loving family and friends will miss Gomez, but none as much as his grandmother Teresa. She lovingly cared for Gomez every day of his life without exception and her devotion to his care was evident in his exuberant spirit he shared with all who were in his presence.

The family is deeply grateful to the support of Children’s Hospital and Providence Hospice of Seattle’s Stepping Stones pediatric program for all of their years of support. They are also appreciative beyond words for the support of the Dream-On Foundation who’s hard work, effort and contributions have made Gomez’ funeral services possible.
