August 11, 1976 - November 17, 2010
He loved being a father...
Christopher Michael Carpenter, loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend died unexpectedly of natural causes at home on November 17, 2010, at the age of 34. Chris was born Aug 11, 1976, in Leavenworth WA to Nancy Lundin and David Carpenter. He spent his entire life in western Washington.
After graduating from Skykomish High School, Chris completed a 5-year apprenticeship and became a commercial plumber in Local 32, most currently working for Hermanson Company.
In 2003 Chris met the love of his life, Sabrina McCreary. In 2005 they were married, honeymooned on the island of Maui, bought a home in Lake Stevens, and began their life together. Chris took on the role of devoted father in 2007 with the birth of his daughter Maya. They were inseparable. In 2009 he was blessed with a son Owen. He was a natural father, fun loving, and dedicated. Words can’t express the void Chris’ passing has created.
Chris loved fishing and golfing with his brother Jeremiah Carpenter, and best friend Brent Pierce. His wife Sabrina introduced him to world travel, and with the birth of his children, camping, the ocean, and trips to Disneyland became his most cherished adventures. He loved taking his daughter Maya to the Children’s Museum, and the Circus. Every possible opportunity that surfaced he took his children Maya and Owen to the zoo, the park, swimming, shopping, or just on a long walk with their dog Cally. He loved being a father.
Chris was preceded in death by his father David Carpenter, his grandfather Charlie Carpenter, and his grandmother Dorothy Horey. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his mother Nancy Lundin, brothers Brad LaFleur (Maria) and Jeremiah Carpenter (Trisha), best friend Brent Pierce (Lora), sister-in-law Tori Beecroft, mother and father in-law Randy and Kathy McCreary. Nieces and nephews Nick and Alyssa LaFleur, Sarah Carpenter, Addison and Brodie Pierce, and Charissa Beecroft.

Looking into the portals of eternity
Looking into the portals of eternity teaches that the brotherhood of man is inspired by God's word; Then all prejudice of race vanishes away.

Just as the Wave Cannot Exist
Just as the wave cannot exist for itself, but is ever a part of the heaving surface of the ocean, so must I never live my life for itself, but always in the experience which is going on around me. It is an uncomfortable doctrine which the true ethics whisper into my ear. You are happy, they say; therefore you are called upon to give much.
