Glee Wilson

June 06, 1951 - January 18, 2017

Seeing the world through the eyes of children

Nana held my tiny hand for just a little while, but holds my heart forever.

Glee Wilson, 65, passed away peacefully in her home January 18th, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Glee, daughter of Ken and Lyla Tallmadge, was born June 6, 1951 and was one of 6 children.  She attended the Marysville School District and recieved her Masters Degree in Teaching from the University of Washington.  She also studied American Sign Language and was a ski instructor for differently abled children.

She was briefly married to Louie Wilson and had two sons, Russell and Devin Wilson.

Glee will be remembered as a very independent, hard working woman who put herself through college as a single parent.  She taught elementary children in the Snohomish County School Districts.  Seeing the world through the eyes of children is a quality that was so endearing, it was joyful to watch her interact with them.   Her love of gardening and the beauty it brought to her life will be carried on at her lake house where she loved to share her home with family and friends.  Listening to the music she loved will help us keep her memory alive.

Her path in life led her to find Christ four years ago and her new found salvation allowed her to live in peace and accept Jesus as her saviour.  Glee was an energetic and enthusiastic member ofAC3 and loved to volunteer at the Seeds of Grace food bank.  She was passionate about giving back to the community and getting everyone she loved involved.

As she begins her new journey, we find comfort knowing she was baptized and is in the loving care of God and Heaven.

Glee is survived by her sons, Russell (Lisa) Wilson, Devin Wilson, grandson Russell Wilson, Sister Gwen (Cliff) Wilson, brothers Gary (Pat) Tallmadge, Giff (Sally) Tallmadge, Gus Tallmadge: several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as many cousins and other family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Lyla Tallmadge and sister Gaye Tallmadge.

Love Lives On

Those we love remain with us,

for Love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade;
because one loved is gone.

Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
for as long as there's a memory
they live on in our heart.
Think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched,
for nothing loved is ever lost,
and she was loved so much.

Just as the Wave Cannot Exist

Just as the wave cannot exist for itself, but is ever a part of the heaving surface of the ocean, so must I never live my life for itself, but always in the experience which is going on around me. It is an uncomfortable doctrine which the true ethics whisper into my ear. You are happy, they say; therefore you are called upon to give much.
