Angela Louise Mora
January 04, 1971 - January 11, 2017
Her life motto was ~ I choose happiness ~
Angela Louise Mora, age 46 of Seattle WA passed away Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 in a vehicle accident on I-5 in Seattle.
Born on January 4th, 1971 she is survived by her parents, Samuel Owen and Barbara Matson, as well as her brother, Jess A Owen. Three sons, Nikkolis, Samuel and Jonah Ramage, a daughter, Olivia Martinez and one grandson, Charles Foust, her step mother Patricia Owen, half brother Craig Havener, and her four step brothers, Dan, Don, Dale, and Darren Breit. Angela was preceded in death by her brother James A Owen.
She grew up on the coast of Washington state, though the bright, busy atmosphere of Seattle always called to her even as a child. Eventually, she was able to call Seattle home, and she cherished every part of it, from the bright green and blue of the 12th man to the drizzly, overcast days that frequent the area.
Angela was most known for her happy attitude and her cooking, two things she constantly used to benefit those around her. After being diagnosed with cancer in the Fall of 2015, she started a pop-up restaurant called Angela’s Table, donating 100% of the profit to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and the Northwest Sarcoma foundation. She loved the restaurant industry, and enjoyed managing and serving getting to know people through a love of food. Her dream was to own her own restaurant and write a book called “Finding You Happy Place” to inspire others.
Angela constantly reminded the people around her to be positive and give others the benefit of the doubt. Her life motto was “I choose happiness”, and anyone who knew her saw just how seriously she took that oath. Even when the chemotherapy took effect and her hair began to fall out, she refused to let it keep her down, and instead focused on the positives in life. Her light will be missed more than we know.
