She Brought Happiness to All who Knew Her

Bobette Irene Sheaffer was born on October 24, 1946, in Sonora, California, to Robert and Vivian Madill. She was a 50-year resident of Washington, and lived in Bothell for 35 years. On 07/07/77, Bobette married the love of her life, her husband, John Sheaffer. Bobette and John were married for 37 years, and they truly were soulmates.

Bobette was continually dressed to the nines, and always looked beautiful. She could bring a smile to everyone’s face and happiness to all those around her. Bobette was an incredible mother, adored by her children, Danette and Timothy. She was always there for them, without fail, to offer her love, guidance, and support. She truly was their best friend. Bobette was a wonderful grandmother, who treated her grandchildren as if they were her own children, and she enjoyed many special moments with them. Her great-grandsons, Dylan and Braedyn, were the light of her life, and she was their special GiGi.

She was an avid gardener, painter, artisan, and seamstress. Bobette was a member of the Ladies Bowling Team for many years at Brunswick-Majestic Lanes in Lynnwood. She enjoyed arts and crafts, bowling, bingo, and knitting, among many other talents and interests. Bobette was an amazingly skilled artist, and through her paintings, was always able to manifest her vision.

She will be remembered for her laughter, nurturing ways, and excellent cooking. Her family will always picture her in the garden, tending to her thriving plants. Bobette was a great protector, constantly caring for those she loved, especially her husband and children. She was everyone’s friend and made all feel welcome. Bobette always gave to those in need, without ever thinking of herself first. You knew your secrets were safe with her, and she was always ready with a listening ear and just the right advice.

She passed away on July 3, 2014, in Edmonds, Washington, after a long illness.

Bobette is survived by her husband of 37 years, John; daughter, Danette; son, Timothy; stepchildren Teresa (Terry), Mike (Colleen), and Laurie (Mike); sisters Randee (Bill), Melody, Patty (Ed), Jacque (Fred), and Barbie (Clark); brothers Michael and Lonnie (Sherry); grandchildren Mishayla, Ambrosia, Amanda, Breanna, Zachary, Kailie, John, Justin, Jeffrey, Ryan, Brielle, Alyson, Lyndsey, Bennie, and Kyle; great-grandchildren Dylan and Braedyn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members. Love Lives On

Those we love remain with us,

for Love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade;
because one loved is gone.

Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
for as long as there's a memory
they live on in our heart.
Think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched,
for nothing loved is ever lost,
and she was loved so much.

Your Mother is Always With You

"Your mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself. She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well. She's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day. She's the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow; she is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She's the place you came from, your first home, and she is the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you, not time, not space...not even death."
