In addition to her son Alex, Shelli had a large family that loved her contagious laughter, and indomitable spirit. She was survived by her mother, Clara Ford, and her father Monte Williams. Shelli had 3 sisters, Tracey, Becky, and Monica. One brother Tyler and a step brother Dan. Shelli also is survived by 6 nephews, 1 great nephew, 1 niece and 1 great niece as well as numerous Aunts and Uncles, and over 35 cousins!. Shelli had so many wonderful friends who were part of her support team as they were part of her life, including her boyfriend of many years, Dean, Van Vleet. Shelli was loved by many and was truly blessed.

Shelli was born in Port Angeles, WA on April 29th, 1965. She graduated from Port Angeles Senior High school in 1983, and then she attended the International School of Travel. Shelli then worked at Horizon Air, Continental Airlines, and Metropolitan Travel. She had a short stint as a Real Estate professional with ZipRealty, but travel was her true passion and she returned to work for Expedia as a VIP travel consultant. Expedia appreciated all that Shelli had to offer in her skills as well as her humor. When she became ill supported her the entire time, including helping to send her to her first Seahawks game, which had long been on her bucket list.

Shelli was an incredible person who loved to travel and enjoy life. She truly lit up the life of anyone she came in contact with, including the medical staff who helped her the last 3 years at University of Washington and at Seattle Cancer Care. Her presence here on earth will be missed.

Just as the Wave Cannot Exist

Just as the wave cannot exist for itself, but is ever a part of the heaving surface of the ocean, so must I never live my life for itself, but always in the experience which is going on around me. It is an uncomfortable doctrine which the true ethics whisper into my ear. You are happy, they say; therefore you are called upon to give much.

Albert Schweitzer

Love Lives On

Those we love remain with us,

for Love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade;
because one loved is gone.

Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
for as long as there's a memory
they live on in our heart.
Think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched,
for nothing loved is ever lost,
and she was loved so much.
