Much loved husband, father and grandfather

Robert (Bob) Harkleroad died peacefully at home with family on March 8, 2017 in Lynnwood, WA .

Bob was born on September 20, 1944 in Port Angeles, WA to Lloyd and Dorothy (Bell) Harkleroad.  He graduated from Ingraham High School and Seattle Pacific University with his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education.  He taught for 31 years in the Shoreline School District.  He then worked at Bear Creek Golf Course and the Mariners, both which he really enjoyed.  Bob played baseball in high school and college and then as recreational sports.  He coached kids for several years.

Bob treasured the time spent watching his kids play all their sports.  Watching his grandkids play sports gave him such joy.  He enjoyed playing poker and golf with longtime friends.  He also enjoyed fishing and was a long time Husky season ticket holder.

Bob was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Connie (Harris), son Chris (Melissa) and daughter Erin Crain (Jason) and his 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Alyssa and Isla.  He is also survived by his sister Sheila Giles (Jay), brothers Donald (Elaine) and Gary.  Bob will truly be missed by many.
