Love for his family had no limits and Stan will be dearly missed
Stanley Lloyd Hecht on September 8th, 2017, while surrounded by his loving family at his home in Everett, WA passed on to be with his Lord after a long battle with COPD. Stan’s love for his family had no limits and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Stan is survived by his loving wife Christine of 46 years, former wife Nancy Hecht, mother Millie Hecht, brothers Ron Hecht (Geri) and Steve Hecht, sister Dale Kay, children Rick Hecht (Milea), DeAnn Mathison (Jay), Trisha Grinnell, Shelley Pattison (Scott), Trina Ent (Scott), and Breanna Eneberg (Stephen), and 14 grandchildren Ryan Hecht, Erin Hecht, Micah Dizon, Trevor Mathison, Taylor Mathison, Kara Mathison, Stephanie Hilmo, Jordan Hilmo, Sydney Pattison, William Ent, Katie Ent, Colin Eneberg, Ayla Eneberg, and Brendan Eneberg.
Stanley was born on New Year’s Day in 1944 to Dale and Mildred Hecht in Everett, WA. He graduated from Everett High School in 1962 and attended Everett Community College. He worked numerous jobs including a short stint working for his dad at the fuel depot in Mukilteo where his dad actually fired him for showing up late to work more than once. His next job was as a shoe salesman at Penny’s, not his forte’. He then found his passion at Snohomish County PUD in March of 1964, where he started as a meter reader. He went on to have a 30-year long career, advancing to Director of System Protection and Distribution Line Service, retiring at the age of 49 in 1993. He cherished his time and the life-long friendships he gained during his tenure at the PUD.
After a few months of retirement at home helping his wife Christine run her daycare, he decided it was time to go back to work! He started consulting for the PUD and later joined the firm of D. Hittle and Associates consulting group to continue his power utility consulting work. Stan decided to finally slow down and enjoy the good life with friends and family, retiring for the last time in 2012. Stan also spent 15 years serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the Snohomish County PUD Credit Union / MountainCrest Credit Union until 2013.
Stan enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, golfing, reading, having a cold beer and most of all spending time with his large and boisterous family. He cherished his time in Leavenworth at the family property and many camping and road trips to locations all over the west coast. He loved nothing more than to sit in his easy chair on Christmas morning and watch all the activity of his many grandkids opening presents around him with big laughter and smiles. He was proud of all his kids and grandkids and took great pride in their many accomplishments, seeing them grow and was always there for them whenever called upon. His legacy of hard work and tremendous love of family lives on with each family member and he will truly be missed each and every day.

Extended family and friends, please join us in a celebration of life on Saturday, September 16th from 1–4pm at the family home in Everett.
