Robert Charles Dietz

January 14, 1932 - August 17, 2017

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend

Beloved husband, father, and grandfather Bob Dietz, 85 years old, died peacefully on August 17, 2017, surrounded by loving family. Bob married Eunice Dietz and they made their home in Arlington, WA. Bob was born in Massillon, Ohio on January 14, 1932 to August and Mary Dietz. Bob was in sales and merchandising for Zellerbach Paper Company also owned Northwest Screens.  Bob served in the Navy from 1949- 1953. He was a machinist mate on the aircraft carrier USS Antietam during the Korean War.

Bob was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Arlington. He was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He and his wife took communion to the homebound. Bob was also a member of Knights of Columbus. Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed their home on Glen Eagle Golf Course.

Bob loved his children and grandchildren. He taught them by example to be good servants in this life. Bob made people laugh and smile with his great sense of humor. He was devoted to his family and his church and had many friends.

Bob is survived by wife Eunice Dietz, sons and spouses, Tim and Debbie Dietz, Ken Dietz, Mark Dietz, Tony and Tammi Meade, daughters and spouses, Debbie and Keith Workman, Donna Drollinger, Crystal and Tom Fitzgerald, Heidi and Shane Salvatore. Survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his step-son David Hill and wife Phyllis Ann Dietz.

FUNERAL INFORMATION

A Christian Mass of Burial will be held on Friday, September 1 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1200 E 5th St., Arlington, WA 98223. See the map below.

Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent on Tuesday, September 5, 10:00 AM.

Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church fund for Sister Parish in Bungoma, Kenya.
