Warren Ray Odegard
June 3, 1941 - August 5, 2018
My dearest friend and husband of almost 28 years, Warren Ray Odegard, born in Seattle, WA on June 3, 1941, passed away on August 8, 2018. He was 77. He showed the beginnings of Alzheimer’s about 9 years ago. He was involved in the fishing industry in Alaska for many years and held a 1,600-ton Captain’s license. He enjoyed activities near and on the water. His 52-foot sailing ketch was a creative masterpiece which took 40 years to complete, but sailing the seas eluded him.
Warren is survived by his wife of almost 28 years, Linda Jensen Odegard of Bothell; a sister, Joan Schulze and her husband Terry of Issaquah; a brother, Jerry Odegard and his wife Darlene of Yakima; and a half-sister, Jessica Williams of Oxnard, CA. Warren will be fondly remembered as a godly man and for his creativity, helpfulness, and gentle, loving spirit. He has been welcomed into God’s presence for eternity. (Heb. 12:22–24). His ashes will be scattered on Puget Sound with those of his wife after she passes.
