Theresa Estelle Edwards Costarella

April 17, 1955 - May 30, 2018

Theresa Estelle Edwards (Costarella) passed away in Bothell, WA on May 30, 2018.  She was 63 years old and died after a 7 month battle with liver cancer.  As she died, she was surrounded by her loved ones at home under the quality care of the Providence Hospice services.

Teri was born Theresa Estelle Darst in Seattle on April 17, 1955.   She lived in the Seattle area for most of her life, with some years in Phoenix, AZ and in Vermont.  Teri had three children:  Nathan Darst of Bellevue, Kristy Nunez of Seattle, and Ericka Frodsham of Seattle and stepson Steve Vaccariello.

She was married to and is survived by her wife, Linda Costarella of Bothell, WA.  In addition to her wife and children, Teri leaves behind her mother Lois Espinoza of Chelan, her father Pat Darst of Renton, three sisters, Jennifer Schmidt and Trina Tropple of Chelan, Nancy Oakes of Missouri, a brother Carl Miner of Wyoming, and nine grandchildren:  Kara McGregor, Jacob Montalvo, Taylor Darst, Jordan Khan, Marissa Costarella Preece, Robbie Nunez, Olivia Costarella, Jazmynn Frodsham, and Trinity Darst.  A sister, Mary Geurtin, preceded her in death.  She also celebrated life with numerous friends and extended family.

Teri loved nature (especially swans and lavender).  She was an amazing cook and worked for awhile as the manager of food services at the Northeast College of Healing Arts and Science in Saxton's River, Vermont.   She loved arts and crafts and shared that love with all of her children and grandchildren.  The many family and friends who came to visit her in her last days was a tribute to what a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend she was.  She will be missed by all.  A celebration of her life will be held at Unity in Lynnwood, 16727 Alderwood Mall Parkway, Lynnwood, WA 98037 on July 14, 2018 from 1-3.  Services are from 1-2. A light lunch will be served after the services from 2-3.  Since Teri wished to be cremated, there is no burial.
