Carole May Stevens McCusker

September 30, 1933 - January 15, 2019

Carole May Stevens McCusker (85) died peacefully at Evergreen Hospice Care Center on January 15, 2019 from the complications of lung cancer.  Born September 30, 1933 in Seattle, Washington, Carole was the only child of Margaret Bartram Viehmann Stevens and Kenneth Francis Stevens.  She spent summers on Lake Sammamish and graduated Roosevelt High School in 1951.  Carole attended the University of Washington and was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. 

Carole married Robert (Bob) Michael McCusker August 20, 1960 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Seattle.  Together they had four daughters and enjoyed golf, bridge and dinner parties.  Bob and Carole attended Husky football games for over 40 years and were also known for their Open Houses on Christmas Eve which brought cheer to all who attended.  They lived and raised their family in Lynnwood, Kirkland, Medford Oregon, and Kent, Washington before retiring to Camano Island in 1990.  She later moved to Kenmore in 2013 where she lived with her daughter Kathleen.

Carole was a voracious reader and passionate about college and professional football.  She loved dogs, entertaining, cooking, bridge club, Study Club and cocktails with friends and family. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bob.  Carole is survived by daughters:  Pamela Dujmovich, Kellee Daugherty (Rob), Kathleen McCusker, Meri Colistro (Roy), 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 

A Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Unity in Lynnwood, 16727 Alderwood Mall Parkway.  “Cheers!  Go Huskies! …and ta da ta da…”
