Daniel Thomas Huntley

September 4, 1975 - October 15, 2018

Daniel Thomas Huntley, 43 years of age, died unexpectedly October 15, 2018

Daniel (D.T. Dan or Danny) was born in Doctor’s Hospital, Seattle Washington on September 4, 1975.  He lived the vast majority of his life throughout N.W.  Washington including Lyndon, Kirkland, and Snohomish and most recently outside of Arlington near Jim Creek.

He attended Snohomish Schools from 3rd grade on including the then 9th grade campus, and Snohomish High School.  A carpenter by trade he worked on new construction as well as remodeling projects.

Daniel married Ward Pierson, his longtime partner, on January 11, 2015.  A hobby became more when he and Ward began to work with Tractor pulls in Lyndon and soon became a part of the Puget Sound Antique Tractor and Machinery Association and later North West Truck Pulls.  Daniel was most often found on the track controlling the trucks and tractors as a flagger, but he would pitch in and help wherever needed.

Daniel had a soft heart that was connected to his smile, he provided fun and wisdom for his nephews and parents alike.  He would help anyone and from his earliest years was known for bringing home “strays” and caring for those in need.  He loved being in the mountains or around, usually in, any body of water large or small, but also liked to be caught up in a good fantasy book or a puzzle,

Daniel is survived by his husband Ward Pierson of Arlington, his parents Neal and Anita Huntley of Snohomish, his sister Maxie Huntley of Snohomish and two brothers, Adam (Elisa) of Seattle, and Mitchell Huntley of Tacoma, two nephews Maxwell and Thomas Huntley of Snohomish and the mother of Thomas, Amy Otterson of Edmonds. Remaining uncles include James Brown (Elaine) of California, and Gerhard (Von) Brown (Meredith) of Colorado.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 17th at Christ the King Lutheran Church at 1305 Pine Ave. Snohomish WA, beginning at 1pm.  A reception will follow in the church fellowship Hall.

In the summer of 2019 there will be a Party held in Daniel’s name exact place and date will be announced at a later date.  At that time Daniel’s ashes will be scattered on Jim Creek.
