Rosalee Frances Hughes

July 22, 1938 - April 30, 2017

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many

Rosalee Frances Hughes (Miles) passed away peacefully on April 30Th 2017 in Edmonds, Washington. She was born July 22nd, 1938 in Kimball, Nebraska to Delbert and Dorien Miles. When she was less than a year old the family moved to Hawaii where they lived for three years before they relocated to Bremerton, Washington, where she was raised alongside her sisters and brothers.

On May 16th, 1964 she married James William Hughes at the Manette Community Church in Bremerton, Washington. They started their lives together in Huntsville, Alabama where they had two daughters, Shannon and Kellie. In 1971 the family returned to Washington, living for four years in Bellevue before settling in Kent in 1975. In Kent the entire family made lifelong friends and memories that are forever treasured.

Rosalee was preceded in death by her husband, Jim,  of 37 years. She is survived by daughters Shannon P.H. Pedersen (Bryan), of Bothell Washington and Kellie Michelle Hughes of Yorktown, Virginia. She is also survived by one Grandson, Noah Hughes Butterfield, of Yorktown, Virginia and siblings William Miles, Janis Worrell, Karen Berney, Kathleen Parker and Robert Miles.

FUNERAL INFORMATION

An informal open house in Celebration of her life will be held on May 21st between the hours of 1 pm and 5 pm at the home of Bryan and Shannon Pedersen, located at 17424 20th Drive SE, Bothell, WA 98012.
