Ronald Howard Chatterson

Ronald (Ron) Chatterson of Green Valley, AZ passed February 1, 2017 in Everett, WA.  Ron was born to Reg and Ida Chatterson in Detroit, Michigan, July 1, 1937. His sister Yvonne of Green Valley, AZ, predeceased him on January 17, 2015.  Ron leaves his brother, Jim (wife, Arlene, daughter, Meg, son, Nick) of Mill Creek, WA.

Ron leaves two sons, Kris (wife, Gina, daughters, Bailey and Riley) of Auburn, WA and Joel (wife, Cassy, and sons, Keaton and Nolan) of Everett, WA.  Kris is a Police Officer in Black Diamond, WA and Joel is a Veterinary Doctor in Mukilteo, WA.

Ron was a graduate of Marysville High School in 1956.  He served six years in the U.S. Navy overseas, and two years with the U.S. Army Reserve headquartered in Everett, WA.  Ron attended Everett Community College after his Navy service.  Ron retired after thirty years from the Herald newspaper as a Regional Distribution Manager.  He also served with the Marysville Police Department as a reserve Police Officer for five years.

Ron moved to Green Valley, AZ in December 2000.  He was a member of the Sheriff’s Auxiliary volunteers in Green Valley.  He was an active member of the American Legion Post #66 for over twelve years being a member of the Color Guard.  He also was a member of the Marine Corps League Drill Team. 

Graveside services are planned with military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery.  Please check back for details soon.
