Gordon Douglas LaZerte

July 10, 1925 - January 9, 2020

Gordon Douglas LaZerte was born in 1925 in Montreal, Canada to Edith and Leonard LaZerte. He was the oldest of three children.

At age 20, he married Betty, and they remained happily married for 65 years. He is predeceased by his wife and siblings, passing away peacefully in his home this January, 2020. He was 94 yr old. Gordon is survived by his four children; Bruce, Greg, Peter and Debbie LaZerte, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

He was a talented and dedicated physician and teacher, a loving husband to his wife Betty, and a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed for his wisdom, patience, kindness, generosity, and especially his delight in his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In his later years especially, he appreciated classical music, and was a devoted patron of the Seattle symphony and opera. It was rare to visit him and not find him tuned in to classical KING FM. Donations to the Seattle Symphony, the Seattle Opera, or KING FM in lieu of flowers would therefor be much appreciated.
