Melvyn Buenaflor Araullo Sr.

July 23, 1946 - December 9, 2021

On December 9, 2021, Melvyn Buenaflor Araullo Sr., loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 75.

 Melvyn was born in Tondo, Manila Philippines on July 23, 1946 to Dr. Jose P. Araullo and Amparo Buenaflor.

 He grew up in the Philippines with seven siblings, sisters, Amor, Lilia, Charity, and Marilyn, and brothers, Pepito, Dante and Dennis. 

 Melvyn migrated to California in 1987 living a life full of adventure with friends and family. He was always a very kind person and he made everyone feel at home. Melvyn was an animal lover at heart, caring for his cat Mango and dogs, Jakob, Anica, Apple, Coco, Stitch, and Jasmine.  

 He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in February 2015 and was admitted to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County in September 2021.

 He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, his sons Melvyn Jr., Jansen, Ericson, and Edward, his daughters Analyn and Jacquelyn, his daughter-in-laws May and Kath, son-in-law Bert, and his grandchildren, Kyle, KC, Kyla, Alwyn, Thu, Austyn, Leisha, Anjolie, Angelica and Janinne, great-grandson Kervyn, and many beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Melvyn was predeceased by his parents, Amparo and Dr. Jose P. Araullo, sister, Charity Concepcion, brothers Pepito and Dante, son Edwin, granddaughter Iris, nieces Rhona and Peachy and nephew Edmond.

His presence will be missed. We will treasure his memories. He will always be in our hearts.
