Nancy Ann Yeager

February 18, 1935 - March 26, 2019

Nancy was born on February 18, 1935 in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio and from there went on to New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where she graduated with a Masters in Music degree. She taught at Wooster College in Wooster, Ohio, Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts and The Putney School in Putney, Vermont.

Nancy was offered an opportunity at the University of Washington to study and work as a teaching assistant. She drove herself and her dogs across the country to parts unknown and started a new life. She continued her graduate work and taught at University of Washington as well as Green River College in Auburn, Washington and Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington.

In her life she played many concerts in the Akron, Boston and Seattle areas and also piano concertos at the New England Conservatory of Music, Wooster College and Nashua, New Hampshire.

When Nancy left University of Washington she continued her passion for piano teaching at Mills Music in Bothell, Washington.

Nancy loved her dogs and the outdoor life. She had many stories of hiking and camping adventures with her dogs and what wonderful true life companions they were.

Nancy passed away peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease at her home in Bothell, Washington on March 26, 2019. She is survived by cousins in Ohio and Virginia.
