Richard Maurice Udy

July 9, 1932 - July 19, 2019

A Tribute to Richard Udy

Born: July 9, 1932 (Salt Lake City, UT)
Passed Away: July 19, 2019 (Everett, WA)
Mother: Irma Horne
Father: Frank "Maurice" Udy
Sister: Marilyn
Brother: Douglas

Richard served in the Navy from 1951-1953 aboard a munitions ship, where he was an electrician.

He married Re Von Watts in 1955.  They had five (5) children together: Shannon, Allison, Greg, Curt and Steve.

He worked with distinction as a real estate broker for four decades, earning many awards.  He retired in his middle 70s.

He was an avid outdoors-man.  Fishing, camping, and boating brought him great joy.  If he was near the water, he was at peace.

He loved sports.  He was a season-ticket holder for the first Seattle Seahawks season.  From Spring to Summer he spent many evenings outside on his deck: Lake Sammamish to his left, and a Seattle Mariner’s game on the TV to his right.

A man possessed with great energy, wit, charisma and an ability to make anyone laugh, Richard's presence was almost always felt when around.

His family, particularly later in life, meant everything to him.

Richard is survived by:
Marilyn (sister)
Re Von (ex-spouse)
Shannon, Allison, Greg, Curt and Steve (his children)
Stephanie, Jamison, Alex, Cory, Matt, Luke, Logan, Will and Morgan (grandchildren)
Cameron, Bryson, Casey (great grandchildren)

He was preceded in death by his father (Maurice), mother (Irma) brother (Douglas) and nephew (Michael).

Funeral services for the family were held on July 24, 2019 at A Sacred Moment Tribute Center in Snohomish, WA.  Chaplain Loren Peters officiated the services.

 With love,

The family of Richard Udy (May he Rest in Peace...)
