Loving husband, father and grandfather
Mr. James Barrett died of pancreatic cancer at his home after a short, three month illness. Jim was a Professional Engineer who worked in Boeing aerospace for 35 years. After retirement, he worked beside his wife, Lydia, in her Russian restaurant, the Kaleenka. Some of the popular food items from the restaurant are still available at summer fairs. Jim had a home funeral which allowed the family private time to say goodbye and to celebrate his life. At his request, no other services were held. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lydia, children George, Krista, Richard, Steven and seven grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his brothers John and Michael of Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, and sisters Betty O'Leary of Calgary Alberta, and Marie Moore-Stevens of Vancouver, British Columbia.
