Theresa Ann Perry Jacobs Winters
July 18, 1946 - March 17, 2012
Together we have lived and celebrated life
Theresa was a joy to all she loved as she lived and celebrated life fully. She died peacefully in her Mukilteo home on Saturday March 17th, with her daughter Tanya and son Todd at her side, while her lifelong friend Sue Brooks was holding her hand. Born in Seattle, Theresa attended St. John's grade school and Holy Angels high school. She had worked for Pacific NW Bell / US West / Qwest for 30 years when she retired.
Theresa married Robert Cecil Jacobs in February 1966 and sadly became a widow four years later and the young mother to Tanya and Todd. She found love again and married Paul Gunnar Winters in November 1992.
Theresa had 8 grandchildren – Dustyn, Brytnee, Saige, Ivy, Dakota, Cheyenne, Jaryd and Lily; Six nephews John David, Adam, Shaun, Nicolas, Christopher, Giancarlo; Four nieces Melanie, Felicia, Jeanne, Regina.
The joys in Thersa's life included her family and friends; the ocean (owning a cabin at Cannon Beach); singing (as a member of the Boeing Choir); member of the Mukilteo Historical Association (Paul was President of the association for a few years); loved to travel both abroad, and across the United States on several extended road trips with Charlie and Sue Brooks.
She will be forever in our hearts.

Just as the Wave Cannot Exist
Just as the wave cannot exist for itself, but is ever a part of the heaving surface of the ocean, so must I never live my life for itself, but always in the experience which is going on around me. It is an uncomfortable doctrine which the true ethics whisper into my ear. You are happy, they say; therefore you are called upon to give much.

Together we have lived and celebrated life
Together we have lived and celebrated life.
We have welcomed new life into the world,
and seen loved one's return to God,
before we were ready to let them go.
We have felt the love in each other's eyes,
and dried each other's tears in times of sadness.
We have spoken to each through a glance,
and then laughed spontaneously, for all to hear.
We have shared knowing moments of silence
and revealed our deepest secrets to each
other for safe keeping.
We have come with love, through every life passage,
now arriving at this moment of temporary parting.
I now return to those I have loved and lost,
returning to them with excitement and delight,
taking with me deep joy in having loved you,
and having faith that we too will be together again.
Until we are reunited, live well, laugh often,
and cherish the memories we have shared.
Let your tears be brief and remember me well.
Together we will forever live and celebrate life.
