Elizabeth Marie McCann

She is the center of her family and dearly loved by its members

Elizabeth McCann passed away on the morning of November 12, 2016 due to complications caused by lung cancer. She was 56 years old.

Elizabeth Marie McCann was born in Aurora, IL in 1960. She grew up in Batavia until moving to Washington with Thomas “Tom” McCann in her late twenties. Tom and Liz went on to get married and have three daughters.

Liz worked as a bus driver for the Sultan School District for 16 years. She was able to involve herself in her daughters’ activities by driving the trips they went on.

One of Liz’s greatest passions in life was gardening. She successfully planted many beautiful and edible varieties of plants. She enjoyed making food with the vegetables and fruits that came from the garden.

Liz also enjoyed spending time with her friends, listening to music, shopping, hiking, and taking long drives in the ’68 Firebird with her husband.

Liz was diagnosed with non-small squamous carcinoma (lung cancer) in January of 2016. She had showed great perseverance by fighting the cancer for almost one year.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tom, and three daughters; Renee, Krista, and Jessica. She is the center of her family and dearly loved by its members.

FUNERAL INFORMATION

A celebration of life will be held in Liz’s honor at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19th, 2016 at Sultan Middle School commons area.  Please see the link below for a map and directions to Sultan Middle School.
