Andrew Curtis, Jr.
January 29, 1923 - January 17, 2019
Andrew Curtis, Jr., was born in Yakima, WA, on January 29, 1923, and passed away on January 17, 2019. While going to school in Yakima, Andy helped on the small family farm and in addition worked the fountain at his father's restaurant. During WWll, he flew B-24s in the 15th Army Air Corp.
Following the war, Andy graduated from the UW with a Juris Doctor degree. He married Seattleite Dorothy Graefe on December 19, 1947. They made their home and raised a family in the Wedgwood area of Seattle. Andy practiced law in the Green Lake area until 1996. He enjoyed golf, travel, sailing, and spending time with family at their cabin near Hood Canal. He loved his family, life, and learning, and was active in Kiwanis. He loved the City of Edmonds and all the friends he made in the 20+ years he lived there.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy, and is survived by their daughter, Susan Hammond (spouse Gordon), and son, Robert Curtis. He has requested no memorial service. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
