Preston Donald Scheid

March 2, 1918 - February 10, 2018

Preston Donald Scheid, age 99, passed peacefully at Swedish - Edmonds on Saturday - 2/10/2018, 20 days before his100th birthday.
He served our country in WWII July 28,1942 - October 29, 1945, SSGT in the 8th Army Air-Corp, 361st Fighter Group, 374th Fighter Squadron as a Radio Operator, stationed in England. He was the manager of "The Mustangs" Army band, played string bass fiddle.

Survived by Mrs. Midge (Jon) Tallman of Edmonds, WA, Mary F. Pakinas of Lake Stevens, WA, Charles P. "Buddy" and Jeni Scheid of Kenmore, WA, Mrs. Melissa (Brian) McNaughton of Sultan, WA. Predeceased by his loving wife, M. Isabel Scheid, 5/12/2014 and son, John Walfred Scheid, 12/5/1996.

Family meant everything - especially his 12 grandchildren:

Aimee Fulwell, Don Henneke, Dean Pakinas, Michelle Zeiler, Matthew Pakinas, Krystal Scheid, Chris Scheid, James Scheid, Jordan Scheid, Michelle McNaughton, Makayla McNaughton and Maria McNaughton.

and his 13 very special great-grandchildren:

Joana Henneke, Kiana, Claire, Daphne, Jane and Esther Pakinas, Cameron Lauck, Trevor, Justin and Colton Zeiler, Grace Kunz, Alexia and Emma Pakinas

He was born 3/2/1918 in Easton, Minnesota to Herman and Frances Scheid, survived by brother Paul Scheid of Longview, WA.

Graduate of Onalaska High School, Class of 1938.

Funeral Service:                             Saturday, March 10, 2018, 2:00 PM          St. Hilda St. Patrick's Episcopal Church  15224 52nd Ave W,                     Edmonds, WA 98026                      

Flowers may be deliverd to the church Saturday March 10th, after 10:00 AM      

Burial Service:                                              His wife and our Mother, Isabel Scheid's remains will be laid to rest Sunday, March 11th, 3:00 PM at: Abbey View Memorial Park - Cedar Lawn section by the Pond, 3601 Alaska Rd., Brier, WA 98036
