Kai Alfred Kruger
October 12, 1954 - February 12, 2021
Kai Alfred Kruger, 66, of Bellevue, WA passed away on February 12th, 2021 after a 14-month courageous battle of complications due to leukemia.
Kai was born on October 12th, 1954 at Fairchild Airforce Base in Spokane, WA to Hartly and Greta Kruger of Bellevue, WA. After graduating from Newport High School in 1973, Kai attended Yakima Valley Community College and played football until a knee injury forced him to change paths.
That path led him to Michaels Toyota of Bellevue. In his over 30-year career he created many genuine lifelong friends and relationships. He was a great mentor to many. He was loyal to his customers who would often return to see him, even if just for a visit. Those visits would most always include a good story and laughter.
Kai loved his kids and family more than anything in the world! He had a very special bond with his son, Mitch. He enjoyed playing golf, cribbage and watching movies. He was very enthusiastic when it came to betting the odds! Kai was larger than life with a sense of humor that would make anyone laugh.
Kai was predeceased by his mother, Greta and his brother Don. He is survived by his father Hartly Kruger and sister Jan Jorg and husband Nick, niece Pamela and nephew Paul. His daughter Katherine Marie and his son Mitchell Kai and his former wife Lynne Kruger who was faithfully by his side through this tough battle.
