Melissa Amelia Marie Andrews

Melissa Amelia Marie Andrews (Kolberg) was taken from this life far too soon on August 26, 2020.

Melissa was born December 24, 1987 in Seattle, Washington at the U of W hospital. She was raised with her mom and grandma in Shoreline, Washington until her mom bought a horse and they moved to the Smokey Point area. She was in Girl Scouts and got to travel to London, England in 2000 for the 1000 year anniversary when she was 12.

She attended Catholic private school in Junior High and graduated High School in 2005. She attended community college and got a degree in medical coding. She volunteered at Equine Friends assisting children with disabilities ride horses and also worked at Faith Lutheran in the preschool with 4-year-olds. The kids loved her. Melissa loved the yearly family trips to the ocean shores.

Melissa married Casey Kolberg in August of 2007, but later divorced. They had 2 children whom Melissa loved more than anyone else on earth. Melissa met the love of her life, Taylor Andrews, in 2019. They married in July of 2020. He describes her as a kind and caring woman who loved with all her heart. Her smile was so bright it could light the night sky and her laugh was truly infectious. They enjoyed camping, hiking and collecting odd but interesting things. He often says their life together was not near long enough. Her absence will affect many for years to come.

Melissa was proceeded in death by her ex-husband Casey Kolberg. Melissa is survived by her children, Seth and Audryanna , her husband, Taylor Andrews, and family of Anchorage, Alaska , her mother, Barbara McGillivray, sister, Becca (Lulu) Sheldon; brothers, Kai and Kalani Kawaihae, nephew, Elijah, all from Arlington WA, grandparents, Rod and Delores McGillivray, Uncle Glen McGillivray, Aunt and Uncle Didi and Kevin Bolter all from Bothell, WA
