Obituaries

Charlotte Fiona Sutphen

February 15, 2002 - September 14, 2010

We are blessed and connected because Charlotte was here.

Charlotte, daughter of Angie and Paul, sister of Maddie, left us Tuesday night to be with the angels.

For someone who did not speak, she communicated so clearly, helping us to quiet ourselves so we could hear her and be present. For someone who could not walk, she reached out to everyone from where she lay giving gently of her heart, and with almost no vision, she saw her path and lead the way.

Cha Cha fought to be here for a very long time and went gently, peacefully, softly surrounded by the loving arms of her family.

At bedside just before Charlotte died, her Dr., Ronnie told her that Heaven is the memory and lessons a person leaves behind. We have been so deeply graced by her life,

There are so many that have touched Cha Cha’s life and helped us take such amazing care of her. Our Children’s family, our New Care Nursing family, our Shoreline fire and medic family, our Westgate Chapel family, our Shoreline school family, our Providence palliative care family, our Soulumination family, our community family, Keri at James Alan Salon, Children’s Home Healthcare, Dept of Disabilities, Aetna, Hill Rom, Dave & Kathy at QFC Pharmacy, St. Monica’s, Design Display, Ronnie Levitt, and our relentlessly supportive and ever present core family members.

We love and appreciate you all so much. We are blessed and connected because Charlotte was here.

Charlotte was a member of the Sparrow Club, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Soulumination, James Alan Salon, Children’s Hospital (Frequent Flyer Program), Shoreline Fire Department (Cha Cha’s Heroes), Meridian Park School, and Providence Stepping Stones.

She LOVED music, playing catch, being kissed, touring, dolphin petting, lip gloss, spa time, freshness, being read to...June B Jones, Skippy John Jones, Pidgeon, Nancy Drew!, pushing buttons for lights and fishtank, massage

Looking into the portals of eternity

Looking into the portals of eternity teaches that the brotherhood of man is inspired by God's word; Then all prejudice of race vanishes away.

Just as the Wave Cannot Exist

Just as the wave cannot exist for itself, but is ever a part of the heaving surface of the ocean, so must I never live my life for itself, but always in the experience which is going on around me. It is an uncomfortable doctrine which the true ethics whisper into my ear. You are happy, they say; therefore you are called upon to give much.
