Floyd G. "Willie" Wilson

December 11, 1937 - September 30, 2010

Always in our Hearts

Floyd “Willie” Wilson, of Stanwood, Washington, passed away at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon on September 30 after a battle with cancer for the past few years. He was 72 years of age.

After serving his country in the US armed forces, Willie went to work as a millwright. He retired from the building trade in 1988. He was born in Wenatchee, Washington, and has resided in the Stanwood area for nearly 20 years.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Laura Meyers Wilson, brother Chester Wilson, sisters Marie Billingsley and Lorene Valliant, brother-in-law Clifford Valliant, nephew Roger Valliant, and niece Cheryl Valliant.

He is survived by two brothers, Delbert and Lester Wilson, sister Vi Zundel, his son, Doug Wilson, of Arizona, his daughters Laura Jenkins, of Washington, and Amber Chmiel of California, and five grandchildren: James Jenkins, Jeffrey Chmiel, William Chmiel, Sophie Chmiel, and Stacy Wilson.

Services were held on October 5 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Covington, Washington.

Willie will be always in our hearts.
