Denne Ray Snider
October 18, 1951- December 19, 2020
Denne Ray Snider passed away peacefully on December 19th, 2020 at the age of 69 from Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer. He was born to Harry and Erma Snider in Kansas City, MO on October 18th, 1951. At a young age, his family moved to the Seattle area where Denne resided for the remainder of his life.
He began working in the warehouse at John Perine Company in the 1970s. He later moved into sales, then became the Assistant Vice President of the company until he retired in 2008. He built a family when he married Patricia Kinney in 1983 and they had two children together, Megan and Travis. Patricia died in 2007 and Denne never remarried.
Denne was a devoted father and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family and play golf. He worked hard to achieve 8 years of sobriety through A.A. and N.A. and was a beloved member in that community. Even in his darkest days, Denne remained selfless, kind, and resilient. He showed us all that it is never too late to make the changes necessary to live a fulfilled life.
His grandchildren were the light of his life. They brought him incredible joy and he dedicated much of his time in the last few years to spending time with them. Whether it was teaching them how to play catch, rolling on the floor wrestling with them, or reading bedtime stories together, Papa Denne soaked in all those precious moments.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Erma Snider, wife Patricia Snider (2007), sister Dana Shallow (2017), and son-in-law Elliott Hull (2018).
Denne is survived by his children Megan Hull and Travis Snider, his daughter-in-law Isabel Snider and his grandchildren Lincoln Hull, Troy Snider and Tyce Snider. In addition, his siblings Doug, Debbie and Duke, as well as many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Denne. Reggie, Denne’s beloved dog, is staying within our family and will receive all the love he would want for him.
FUNERAL INFORMATION
We are postponing the Celebration of Life until later in 2021. We want to honor Denne properly and will wait until a more opportune time for everyone to attend and feel safe. Updates will be posted on his Facebook page and then shared by Megan and Travis. Per Denne’s request, we will be spreading his ashes on baseball fields around Mill Creek, WA.
