Obituaries

Vickie Marie Lund

August 1, 1956 – March 24, 2022

Vickie was born August 1,1956 in Seattle, Washington to John and Florence Ufer.

Vickie was married to Richard Lund on July 30, 1977. She graduated from the University of Washington in March of 1978. Both Richard and Vickie became insurance agents and built a successful insurance agency. During their loving 27 year marriage they traveled to many places in the US, Paris and Great Britain. Vickie had no children, but she was “mom” to her precious black lab Princess. Vickie was an accomplished pianist and Grand Organist of Washington and Idaho, International Order of Rainbow, and was an exchange student in Mexico.

Vickie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in March of 2004 and sadly her beloved husband Richard passed away on December 26, 2004. She decided to sell their business and move to Minnesota so she would have help from Richard's family. As the MS progressed over the next 18 years, and she became more and more disabled this proved to be a wise decision.

She is survived by sister in law, Bev Laurich (Gary); nieces, Barbara Henderson (Bryan), Shanda Campana (Matt); nephews, Scott Lund (Jen), Marshall Lund (Angel) Jason Laurich (Carla), Chad Laurich (Lindsay) and their families.

Preceded in death by beloved husband, Richard; parents, Jack and Florence Ufer; brother in law, Roger Lund; sister in law, Jayne Lund, three aunts and four uncles.
